Dr. Ibrahim Alsherief, DO is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist and neuromodulation specialist, set to complete his residency at Harvard South Shore Psychiatry in July 2025. Serving as Chief Resident for Interventional Psychiatry, he has honed expertise in advanced psychiatric treatments—including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), and ketamine therapies—and spearheaded the launch of the TMS program at the Boston VA. There, he developed clinical protocols, operational frameworks, and training curricula for clinicians, cementing his role as a leader in the field.

His passion for education has driven him to develop, hands-on training initiatives that are preparing the next generation of psychiatrists to deliver cutting-edge neuromodulation therapies. His commitment to advancing the field extends to his leadership roles: he serves on the Education Committee of the Clinical TMS Society and contributes to global TMS advancement through his position on the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Advancement of Clinical TMS (FACTMS).

Beyond clinical innovation, Dr. Alsherief has made significant contributions as an Epic Physician Builder, where he transformed psychiatric care delivery by optimizing EHR systems to enhance both patient outcomes and clinical workflows. Dr. Alsherief bridges clinical innovation, education, and systems improvement to redefine mental health care.
